Web7 apr 2024 · My biggest concern with the Dana 30 is the 7.5" r&p. I have had lots of experience with the GM 7.5" 10 bolt in f-bodies and swapped S-10s. Granted these were all rwd applications where they had 100% of power transmitted to them. However, thusfar I have not read of a lot of r&p failures on the Dana 30 regardless of my current situation. Web4 mar 2024 · Put a locker in the Dana 30. (or swap it to a HP Dana 30 and put a locker in that) and put chromoly axle shafts in it. Much cheaper than a Dana 44, which nets you minimal benefits over a Dana 30 on TJ's for the money spent. (You can use that money saved on installing a locker in your rear end...or other mods, etc).
